German prototype manufacturer offers prototyping services for industry

A German manufacturer of prototypes and small series for testing purposes offers its services to manufacturing enterprises from the industrial sector with the aim of concluding a manufacturing agreement and developing a long-lasting and mutually fruitful cooperation in the design, development, testing, manufacturing and supply of tools, moulds and techniques.

Partner sought

Being a contract manufacturer of prototypes and small series, the enterprise is looking for appropriate manufacturers from the automotive/industrial sector who need such prototypes for test purposes or the production of small series. Possible forms of cooperation can be in the fields of design, research and development, testing, manufacturing and supply of tools, moulds and techniques. ● Cooperation on design: Agreement on the designing of tools and moulds for the manufacturing process; ● Cooperation on development: Agreement on research and development of the material for the prototypes; ● Cooperation on testing: Agreement on the testing of the developed prototypes of tools and moulds in order to further optimise the tools, moulds and techniques; ● Cooperation on the manufacturing: Agreement on the manufacture and supply of protoypes according to clients' specifications; The enterprise expects from potential partners: - to send orders for manufacturing of protoypes; - with comprehensive, clear, complete and technically correct instructions; - to provide a clear catalogue of criteria which the prototypes will have to fulfill and meet; - to define the test criteria and methods for the testing of its prototypes; - to respectively test the protoypes; - to give a clear feedback on possible errors, inadequacies, incorrect implementation. So, in order to be able to start a fruitful cooperation, the enterprise expects potential partners to be experienced in the prototyping business and to have and respect clear working methods.

Founded in 1991, the German SME is specialized in the manufacturing of prototypes for several industrial sectors, ranging from high-precision micro parts to large-volume parts with free form surfaces. The company masters and offers the following techniques and procedures for the manufacture of high quality products: • 3D printing/rapid prototyping: used to generate high quality master patterns for vacuum moulding and individual prototypes as finished parts; • Stereolithography (STL): procedure to manufacture prototypes quickly and cheaply; • Selective Laser Sintering (SLS): quick and cheap way to manufacture functional prototypes made of technical plastics; • Vacuum moulding: second cast technique to manufacture small series of plastic parts in polyurethane (PUR) and polyamid (PA6); • Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM): low price, quick procedure to manufacture models out of original thermoplastic materials; • Metal precision casting: used for the manufacture of small and pre-series made of metal. The company wants to sign manufacturing agreements with enterprises from various industrial sectors which use rapid prototyping techniques and added manufacturing for their production processes, which need a manufacturer/supplier of prototypes and which are interested in cooperating on the design, development, testing and manufacture of respective tools, techniques and moulds. Hence, the cooperation will concentrate on the customized manufacture of prototypes, covering all the respective steps in the production process.

Advantages and innovations

With all process steps being performed by one and the same company, coordination channels for cooperation with partners are short and reaction times fast. The company is certified according to the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 standards which were defined according to the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Additionally, it is approved to the Trusted Information Security Assessment eXchange (TISAX), which is a common test and exchange procedure for the automotive sector that is based on an information security assessment by the VDA. The company's product range is characterised by: • finest contours, structured surfaces • complicated, technical parts • crystal clear parts • variable colouring according to RAL • high temperature resistance • UV resistant • flame-retardant according to UL 94 • 2K parts • nylon Casted parts • assemby of complex geometries

How it works

  • Tell us about yourself
  • We’ll discuss with you
  • We put the right partners in touch

EEN help you find the right partner, rather than you going it alone.

Our role is to review and collate the most suitable submissions, and then send them to the client who posted the opportunity. We consult with you, and the client, to make the process professional and easy.

These are live opportunities. Your registration of interest on the site is just like a professional approach to a business at a networking event. To stand the best chance of success, make your submission really sing. Sell why the client who posted the opportunity should work with you. Excite them. Ask questions. Try and avoid copy and pasting words from elsewhere.

Once the client has chosen their partner, we'll introduce them over email and keep in touch with both parties to see how it's going. Sometimes things progress quickly. Sometimes because of changing priorities for either party, things progress slowly, but you never know - your next big business break could start right here.
