Finnish cooperative has developed a generic infrastructure and tools for developing interoperable digital services. The cooperative's operative model offers continuously growing income for its members, without scarifying the members' independence and original business. The cooperative is looking for new members operating in the field of digital services development. The partnership would be in the form of joint venture agreement.

The cooperative members can be small companies, large companies or individuals, that are working in the field of digital services. The cooperative members need to understand the value of seamlessly linked digital services for the market instead of fragmented applications. The members need to have an ability to represent their service innovations for the digital world.


Interoperability is the biggest challenge in digitalization. Digital services' interoperability problems cause enormous costs for service developers and providers and inconvenience for end users. The Finnish cooperative has developed a technical solution for interoperability based on SDIS (Single Digital Infrastructure System) and DDE (Design and Development Environment). However, technology is not enough, also a a modern cooperative structure and a clear operational model has been developed. The cooperative's members are companies and individual freelancers that are developing new digital services or add-ons to existing digital services designed within DDE. The members are independent and usually have their major income from their other businesses. The cooperative works together, to minimize the need of investment for startups, reduce the business risks and maximize the market penetration. The members are the owners of the cooperative and they are entitled to their share of the profit as well as the earning through the revenue sharing of the digital services they have been involved with. The structure of the cooperative is ready with management team, principles, membership rules and agreement papers, however the operations have not yet started. The cooperative aims to expand outside of Finland and is looking for new partners, to join as members in the cooperative and work together on interoperability challenge of digital services. The partners can be large companies, small companies, individuals or investors. The partnership is considered to be in the form of joint venture agreement.
