Brussels-based start-up is looking for energy providers to test a new concept of energy and soft mobility as a service based on modular stations to enter a joint venture or technical cooperation agreement to develop this new service.
A Brussels-based start-up active in the community car sharing services is currently testing a new concept to deliver energy and soft mobility as a service. They are experts on community sharing management and they are looking for energy providers with a renewable and users-oriented mindset to test a modular station-based concept. The partnership sought is that of a joint venture or technical cooperation agreement. The stations are being tested in several locations already.
In order to expand the testing activities, the start-up is looking for energy providers already active in the market with a renewable and user-service mindset. Renewable energy providers are preferred but the collaboration is open as well to other types of energy providers interested. The collaboration sought is that of a joint venture or a technical cooperation agreement to bring this service onto the market. Therefore, it is expected that the partner brings its expertise on delivering energy. This partnership configuration has proven to be valid in the current testing sites.
A Brussels-based start-up is addressing the mobility problem of cities by envisaging a combined community service of energy and soft mobility. The start-up is already active in the community car sharing services management and it is developing a new concept for an innovative way of delivering soft mobility and energy as a service. The concept is based on the creation of interaction between end users (peer-to-peer services). The energy and mobility service will be delivered through fix stations installed in the city that will combine the charging and parking of electrical cars and bicycles with the production of electricity by solar panels on the roof and/or on the parking areas/buildings surrounding the station. This modular station would serve the area of a district with mobility and energy. The modular station has been already designed and it is currently being tested in various locations in Belgium. It does not occupy more than 2 to 3 parking spots and could be implemented either in public / business / commercial / private areas. The testing is taking place in collaboration with a partner active in the renewable energy sector. In order to expand the testing activities, the start-up is looking for renewable energy providers already active in the market with a user-service mindset. The collaboration sought is that of a joint venture or a technical cooperation agreement to put this disruptive service on the market. The start-up brings its ample experience in the management of community users and soft mobility. It is expected that the partner brings its expertise on delivering (renewable) energy. This partnership configuration has proven to be valid in the current testing sites.
Advantages and innovations
The product envisaged to be tested will be a disruptive way to deliver mobility and energy as a service; two of the main actual concerns for cities and users. Until now, energy and mobility are delivered to the customer separately without any interaction. The fact of combining both and to deliver them together in as-a-service model is revolutionary when compared to the current state-of-the-art. The partner involved in this joint venture or technical cooperation will become a pioneer on delivering mobility and energy as a service. The objective is to bring this service into the market and establish a long term cooperation between the two entities.
