The company seeks a partner with the equipment necessary to process powders producing parts in order to evaluate properties of powders in terms of processability and final requirements of the obtained components. Italian startup active in the production of metal powders offers its expertise to develop innovative projects in the field of additive manufacturing. The materials the company is able to atomize at the moment are iron, nichel, cobalt and copper base alloys. Powders are perfectly spherical and they can assure no impurities and low oxygen content due to VIGA (Vacuum Induction Melting + Inert Gas atomization) technology. The atomizing plant, post processing equipment and laboratory instruments make possible a great flexibility in terms of chemical analysis, granulometric distribution, batch size. The dimension of the VIGA is suitable both for semi-pilot production and industrial volumes. The company has an internal R&D department and has already developed a network of contacts with external laboratories, R&D centers, universities, service centers, companies using additive manufacturing for prototyping and production. The company offers its expertise and is looking in particular to join groups that are already working on new products and/or process developments. The possible application fields for the company's powders are mainly additive manufacturing, both selective laser melting (SLM) and electron beam melting (EBM) powder bed techniques and direct energy deposition and also other historical Powder Mertallurgy processes as welding, coating, HIPping, sintering. In particular, the company would be able to develop new alloys and produce spherical powders with tailor made PSD (particle size distribution). The company is looking for partners in the development of innovative projects under a research cooperation agreement. The company is also interested in establishing a possible partnership to submit a proposal for a H2020 call.
