Romanian company offers patented sewerage construction technology for technical cooperation
A Romanian company developed a technology for sewer systems construction or other utilities that requires no workers inside the trench and no trench support shields. The solution consists in a robot and its additional equipment and accessories, specially designed to perform all task which are done by a worker inside the sewerage trench. The company seeks companies in the construction and civil engineering sectors to develop and utilize the technology, under technical cooperation.
The company is looking for companies from the construction sector and civil engineering. It must to be specialized in sewage or water supply, with expertise in the field. The role of the partner is to identify projects in the targeted field, to establish the conditions and requirements of the work.
Even though the Romanian company is new on the market, the manager of the company has a long experience in machinery for construction. The goal to achieve economies of work force and means led to the design of a new sewage technology. This patented technology, that requires no workers inside the trench and no trench support shields, consists in a robot and its equipment and accessories, specially designed to perform all the tasks done by a worker inside the sewer trench: • levels the sand bed; • mounts the sewer pipes inside the trench; • levels the sand over the pipes. The company provides all the necessary tools and equipment that is necessary to begin and finish a sewerage construction robot, which includes: - the robot; - patented trench supports; - laser levels; - accessories; - consumables; - training, certification of the operators and licensing. The technology is integrated in a van car to provide easy transportation and flexibility in the field. The technology is designed and manufactured in Romania and internationally patented. This robot is electric, made out of stainless steel, robust, remotely-controlled. It is assisted by a high precision laser level, for sand leveling. The robot has autonomy for 12-14 hours, it can be recharged during the night, and the next day it’s ready for work. The leveling blade of the robot is adjustable, depending on the width of the trench. The robot is equipped with a multifunctional winch, which allows it to level the sand over the pipes and perform heavy lifting and handling operations. On the back part is has a flexible device that allows it to join sewer pipes of different sizes (200, 250, 315mm), for larger diameters larger attachments can be ordered on request. In an economical simulation, the calculations resulted in over 17.000 euro/km economy, on the Romanian market, with the company’s technology compared to classic methods and technologies. The company is looking for companies in the construction sector and civil engineering, for technical cooperation. The partner, first of all, must follow the requirements of the technical approvals in constructions at national level. Subsequently, to establish the technical requirements and to collaborate to adapt the equipment to the project.
Advantages and innovations
The main advantages of this technology are: • Reduction of the width of the trench from a minimum of 900 mm (according to the current standards), to 450-550 mm (according to the new technology); • Reduction of the quantity of excavated earth of 30-50%; • Leveling and pipe joining precision of +/- 1 cm; • Increased working speed (as fast as the excavator can dig); • Work safety: workers are no longer required to enter the trench, the robot being remotely-controlled from the surface; • Low energy consumption: 1 Euro /day; • Handling of the trench shields by excavators is no longer required; • Trench shields are no longer required; • Reduction of human errors: bad pipe joints, reversed slope.
