A Sweden-based start-up has developed an innovation platform to find and set up a discussion with specific experts within a large group or organization. Their platform is an innovation tool for internal use within large organizations. It enables you to quickly check a) which of your group members are relevant in relation to specific topics, b) who is available or interested to engage with you now, and c) set up a first discussion - all in one step. You send out your topic and the most relevant members can click to set up a discussion time with you. Team: One of the co-founders holds a PhD from The Royal Institute of Technology, is a physicist and artificial intelligence expert. The other co-founder holds a degree from Stanford University and has more than ten years' experience in organizational management and was selected as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. Their lead developer, based in Canada, is a former senior software engineer at Amazon. The tool is a simple search form accessible from the web. The only data you need is your group members´ emails - no additional data or downloads. According to a 2016 Deloitte study, "in every organization, people build informal 'go-to' teams. They rely on that one person who always knows 'how we do things here.' They find someone in finance who can answer any budget question. These spontaneous, critically important connections are the lifeblood of organizations worldwide." But in large organizations, it is hard to keep track of people and what they know. 70% of users think it takes too much time to ask around. The tool offers an efficient solution for this. Today one of Sweden's most well respected applied research institutes uses this system in order to more efficiently run open innovation projects and quickly find the right team for a specific enquiry. Their current customers estimate that every find the expert finder does is worth an average USD 2,000, plus the ability to retain project commissions worth up to several million thanks to locating the right expert. The Swedish startup is now looking for commercial partners, as research and development networks and other knowledge intensive organisations, larger than 100 employees/members on a global basis who would like to test their product and benefit from the technology under license and/or commercial agreement with technical assistance.
